August 16th, 1310 — Melville's room - Le Coquelicot - Night Court

I was simply spending my time with a potential patron. A glass of wine in my hand. My laughter matching hers when suddenly I saw a delicate figure sliding behind the curtain. I was not able to believe my own eyes. She did came back! She visited The Salon de Coquelicot again.

I stepped aside watching how she was curiously studying all of us, how her fingers played with the curtains, how she touched a side of a chair, and then run her fingers across the top of a table. I saw how she smelled a bouquet of flowers and smiled.

She is so beautiful, so seductive, so different from all ordinary people. I was not able to understand why no one was as disturbed as me by the clicking of her heels on the marble stones. I looked around and everybody seemed to be engaged in their own conversations. It was unclear to me why no one else's heart was wild with the breeze stirred by the sigh of her veil.

My own heart was going mad with the movements of her braid, the flight of her hands, the gold of her quiet giggle. I did not miss a single one of her gestures till someone accidently bumped into me.

When I looked back - she was gone. She was gone one more time and simply remained in my fragile memory.

I decided to mark her beauty on the canvas but it’s far from who she really is.
