I just finished my letter to the Pharaoh. I'm sure I'm going to get questions about why I'm just now sending it but…he can scold me later. I doubt he's going to come all the way out here to do so and by time I get back home I'm sure he'll be too over it to even fuss at me about it. Worse he can do is send Malik, the head of the palace guards, to come and 'retrieve' me and even then…that is a waste of time and resources. Besides by time I get a response I might be on my way….who knows.

I told him of my run in in northern Caerdicci which I am sure will cause concern. I have no idea who would have attacked our caravan or why…and I hope it's not what I think it is. That would be….that would cause so many problems. I will just hold out hope that perhaps….just perhaps it was just a coincidence. But….I digress. I also informed him that I was offering our aid to Her Grace in thanks for her kindness. It's the least I can do after what has befallen her family. Hopefully we can get this all sorted out and punishment is brought down as well as her sister is found.

I suppose I should get some rest. The Baron nor Charlotte is here right now in the cabin so perhaps I can sneak a nap before I head back out into the city. I may be going to follow up some leads and scout out some paths with my men. Time to rest up and then get dressed.
