The port….one of many. It seems that a small army has arrived that day to accompany the royal family to see off the Ambassador on her trip. Well small to them….it was at least 200 soldier plus those that would be accompanying Aziza. After a few moments they would make their way to the front of the group…the Pharaoh being quite present with his wife by his side.

Walking next to them was another young Menekhet woman that was conversing with them casually it would seem. With just white cotton wrapped around her breasts that are attached to dark leather palaudrons upon her shoulders, she looked as if she was off for a battle…or for travel. Upon her waist was a wide leather belt dark belt that is attached to a white cotton skirt that falls just mid thigh with slits up each thigh. A pair of dark leather boots are upon her feet, a leather arm bracer for her archery usage as well. Her long dark hair was pulled up into a high ponytail that sat high upon her head. The conversation was obviously in Menekhetan….their native tongue.

When she they were approached by the man who was to take her to Caerdicci she smiles warmly and speaks in….d'Angeline. "Greetings, captain. The Pharaoh hopes that your journey here was pleasant….."

*

Edgard gave a bow. d'Angeline were beautiful people, and Edgard was certainly blessed as well. Tall, slim, dark hair and eyes that just begged for brooding, he looked every inch the noble he was. As he straightened up, in his finery suit, likely pulled out for just this occasion, pure white, with gold and green thread running filigrie along the cuffs and collar, forming his family sigil on his shoulder, he spoke in flawless Menekhetan, "I thank the Pharaoh and his family for their concern, and fortunately, as near always when I visit these beautiful shores, it was a pleasant run. One I hope to twin, as I speed you off to Caerdicci, as you wish." He gave a bow again, and stepped aside, letting her, and any others on the ship for now.

*

Aziza raises her brow as she hears him speaking in her tongue. Her demeanor shifted ever so slightly but that smile was still present. The Pharaoh too seemed….impressed but looked to the Ambassador with a smirk. /Well then Ambassador Nimr….it seems the time as come. May your journey be safe and we see you upon your return. I am sure we will have much to discuss…../ Aziza chuckles a bit as she bows low to the Pharaoh before looking to the the Captain with a warm smile. /Thank you…./ Raising her hand, she motions back behind them and then moves ahead. Not long behind her was a caravan of men and women (some guards, some attendants), a few horses, a carriage and some chests of supplies. Yelling out, she was telling them to get everything situated as she slowly moved to the railing of the ship with a sigh.

Edgard gave another bow, for good measure, to the Pharaoh, before taking a step back, then turning to walk back up the gangplank. He had his men helping her's with the supplies, getting thing placed and situated. He spotted Aziza by the railing, and walked over to stand a short ways off, looking over the railing at the land as well. "We'll be prepaired to leave, at your whim, shortly, Ambassador Nimr."

*

Aziza slowly looks out to the Pharaoh and his wife as she stands there before standing up straight. Hearing those foot steps she clears her throat then turns to face him with a smile. "Thank you, Captain d'Eresse. Whenever you and your men are ready, I am ready…." A beat. "So how did you come to take on this task? I mean….I know the Pharaoh sent out word but…what made you take on this journey?"

*

Edgard pulled a whistle from his jacket as she gave the word, and produced shrill whistle, with a melodic trill at the end. He put it away, and even as he did, men across the ship were heaving ho, pulling ropes, running out sails, and making way to catch the wind and pull from dock. He gave her a smile, "It was asked about for the safest ship to send a precious cargo. And there is no ship in the sea fast enough to catch the Mistral." He gave a pat to the rail, "When I learned what the precious cargo was, I grew intrigued, and here I am." He smiled, "The gold offered, was quite nice as well."

*

Aziza looks about the ship then smirks a bit as she chuckles. Shaking her head she turns to lean back against the railing. "Is that how the Pharaoh worded it? I find that surprising. Probably precious since I am his translator as well as his traveling diplomat…." Chuckling a bit she closes her eyes as she feels the wind before continuing. "So when you learned it was an Ambassador that had you intrigued?"

*

Edgard smiled, "When I heard it was a woman… I am d'Angeline, after all." He joked, knowing the reputation of his country, "But yes, and to be traveling to Caerdicci… It could be worse, of course…. You could be heading to the frozen lands to the east…" He glanced off car in that direction, before back to her, "But Caerdicci? Why no to Terre d'Angeline? Surely you'd be far happier there, I should think."

*

Aziza chuckles a bit then. "I have heard the tale of the men of d'Angeline….and the women….." Smirking she just shakes her head. "Good thing I am immune to such charms…" A wink before she pushes off of the railing and exhales softly. "And that is on my travel plans. First Caerdicci, then Terre d'Angeline and then to Argonia." Putting her hands behind her head she nods. "And we shall see. You know how some people feel about foreigners…..I have heard stories." A grin and with that she turns to walk past him. "So where will I be sleeping?"

*

Edgard smiled, "My quarters." He paused a beat, "I usually have passengers stay with the men, but, you are a personage of import, and that would hardly be fitting. I have arranged for a seperate bed, and of course, if you prefer, we may sleep in altered schedule. I have my business about the ship to keep me busy, and you surely have preperations." He glanced to her, "What do you hope to find during your travels, so far abroad?"

*

Aziza raises a brow before chuckling. "Well thank you for being so accommodating…." Finally she would pull her hair down as she starts to motion for him to lead the way. "I am looking for trade agreements….maybe a match for a member of the royal family if I feel like it." There's a shrug then. "That is the least of my concern…..but peace treaties and the like." At that she smiles. "Now….to your quarters? I'd love to get out of all of this armor and into some regular clothes…."
