Le Coquelicot — Night Court
Tiles of fine beige colored marble cover the floor in an ever repetitive pattern that is only broken by the circle of inlay work in its center, where through the use of white marble and dark red obsidian a likeness of the poppy flower comes to life, informing the visitor which salon it is he has entered. Long white drapes embroidered with a line of similar earthy dark red to the obsidian used in the floor are arranged to frame the windows, through which the parlour will be generously lighted through the day. Scattered about the room are comfortable chairs, light rattan fletching topped off with comfortable, cream-colored cushions, beside small tables where long slender flagons of wine stand at the ready beside goblets made of clay, glazed in warm earthy tones.

The air is that of relaxation, on more levels than just the physical; this extends to the mind, the soul, and the heart as well. An effect that is enhanced by the soothing melodies played by a lutist in a corner, by the pleasant subtle scents emanating from clay bowls filled with aromatic oils sitting on the tables; the warm lighting of oil lamps through glass shades painted with soothing patterns of waves in orange and dark red. Enhanced further by the soft laughter rippling through these halls where the visitor for once is allowed to take a break from his everyday trials and tribulations, from fears and worries, from tenseness in muscles and sometimes just loneliness.

Archways in old Tiberian style lead onwards to three areas, where patrons can find soothing in the way they wish to. Whereas a stairway at the back curves all the way up to the upper floor, where private quarters of courtesans and adepts can be found.

When looking out of the windows, you see: It is a spring morning. The weather is cool and overcast.

Edmond arrives from the Court de Nuit.
Edmond has arrived.

Edmond says, "Evening"

Sitting in a comfortable armchair with an orange kitten sprawled across the back of it, Soleil glances up from her book with curiosity, then slips the ribbon marker in it to hold her place.

Edmond stands in the doorway, glancing around the room with an air of uncertainty, he is somewhat worse for ware covered in a layer of road dust he hand placed against his side, with a chuckle he speaks "I asked a fellow in the street that I was looking for three things, relaxation, to get cleaned up and have a wound tended to, I hope for his sake he wasn't sending me up the garden path, this isn't quite what I was expecting, the simple question is did I find the right place?"

"You're in the Night Court," Soleil points out, looking over Edmond as if she seems confused, and slowly rises, leaving her book on the arm of the chair she was sitting in. "I'm sure I could call someone who is more adept than I at first aid, but it is rather disrespectful to Namaah to come here in your condition. Why did this fellow not direct you to the Gardens of Eisheth? There is a hospital there, I believe. Or an inn, where you can bathe?"

With a breath of resignation Edmond nod his head "I will be sure to find him and ask him that very same question" shifting his weight he continues with a slight bow "I apologise if I have caused offense that was not my intention, I reached the city no less then twenty minuites ago and I do not know my way around or the particulars"

"And yet you somehow made your way to the Night Court immediately, covered in the dust of the road," Soleil replies with a measure of disgust in her tone. "You do realize that we cater only to the nobility, don't you?" She stalks around the man, keeping her distance, a measure of ferocity in the petite blonde's blue eyes. "You don't seem to be bleeding out on our floor, so immediate first aid does not seem to be a thing that you require. I will graciously have one of the house guards escort you to the hospital so that you may see a healer immediately. You are being disruptive, and you will be grateful that I don't have you physically tossed out."

Chuckles softly eyeing the woman as she circles him raising his free hand softly by way of easing "Your generosity does you credit lady, but that would not be necessary, as I stated I meant no offense, the fellow I asked must of thought it would be amusing to send me here" Edmond shift his weight again, hand still pressed to his side. "I will leave of my own accord, though would you be as gracious to point me in the right direction to the Nobles District? my uncle informed me I should go there"

Soleil does not look amused, and she fixes Edmond with a suspicious look. "You can exit the Night Court, to the rest of the city. I think you will find the Nobles District from there," she says.

Edmond turns to leave stopping a moment before he does with a thoughtful look on his face "I find it interesting that you would mention Naamah and call my being here disrespectful, is it not canon that those who follow her ways never turn away anyone coming to them with honest desire?" he shrugs, "Perhaps that is a matter for Her priests, I do not know being more of Camael" Nodding his head towards to the door and beyond "This way it seems, perhaps I can find some of the guards to escort me to my residence, I don't think I want to make such a social fopaux twice in my first night in the city, what would my fellow Nobles think" inclining his head with a smile he takes a step "Thank you for your time lady, be well"

"I find it ridiculous that you, claiming to be nobility, would not know the protocol of the Night Court. I am a Servant of Namaah, and your filthy appearance, lack of entourage, and bold scolding do not impress me. If you seek a priest or priestess of Namaah, by all means, go to the Temple of Namaah," Soleil replies with disdain, crossing her arms across her chest and looking quite unwelcoming. "If you do have a residence here, why did you not head there immediately? You insult me, coming here without bathing or grooming, in clothes dusty from travel, purporting to wish to worship Namaah. Have you no sense of propriety?!"

stops at the doorway, considering a moment before turning back, his tone is calm lacking any agression or ire towards the woman he speaks with "Lady, I have spent the last thirteen years moving from boarder fort to boarder fort patroling and fighting, I take a wound and am instructed by my uncle to balance my life, for a month I made my way here reopening my wound twice." He stops a moment before continuing on calmly "I sought some respite and relaxation before trying to find where the residence is having never been here before, I asked for aid and was sent here, with honest desire to find respite after nothing but nigh constant warfare. Yes perhaps I should of retired first but…" he stops lifting his hand from his side, his gloves wet with blood "…I needed aid" placing his hand back on his side and shaking his head softly "I did not 'scold' you, I asked aquestion, I'm tired and in pain, so for the third time" with a pause Edmond inclines his head towards the irate woman "I have not, nor do I mean any offence and you have my apologies for any that has been given in ignorance, and I mean with all sincerity that I wish you a pleasent evening"

"GO TO THE FUCKING HOSPITAL," Soleil recommends insistently with a gesture that is meant to usher him out. "If your wound is so bad, GO! GO! Don't stand here talking to me. GO!"

Walking through the doorway Edmond looks over his shoulder saying "I didn't say it was bad, just would of been nice to of been sorted today, good eve" with that he is gone, though just outside the barely audible "Well done Edmond, I think you managed to royally fuck that up, welcome to Masilikos… shoulda stayed fighting the Skali that i know"
