La Rose Sauvage

A huge hearth of black marble, with gargoyles of stone adorning the mantlepiece, governs the foyer of the Salon de la Rose Sauvage, which emanates a certain dark air, the interior design of the more heavy sort, that could easily be encountered in a gentleman's club, especially with the dark cherry wood wainscoting used on the walls. Dark leather upholstery is predominant in the furniture of chaise longues, couches and long-backed chairs that are arranged in a half-circle, leaving space in the center for courtesans (or patrons) to kneel for an inspection. Three tall windows with circular stained-glass insets are framed by dark red curtains of heavy brocade, a few golden threads worked into the fabric catching occasionally the light of flickering oil lamps at the walls. The lamps light a pair of portrait paintings, of the two founders of the salon, Edouard Shahrizai and his cousin Annabelle no Mandrake, resplendent in their dark Kusheline appeal; and a cabinet in a corner, holding a number of quality wines and a flagon of uisghe.%r%rThe foyer has a high ceiling, and a gallery beyond a balustrade of dark teak wood, carved in the shapes of gargoyles. Sometimes a few veiled creatures can be spotted up there, stealing glances at what is going on below; from the gallery, which can be reached by ascending some winding stairs at the back of the foyer. Beside the stairs leading up is a hallway on ground level, leading further into the building to where the offices of the leader of the salon and his two Seconds can be found, along with the two wings of private quarters for roses of Mandrake and Valerian canon.

It is a warm and drizzling day this Autumn in Marsilikos and once again Belladonna is tending to those in the salon, making sure that their drinks are freshed and not need anything else with a ghost of a smile that doesn't reach her eyes. Other novices are about as well doing much the same thing though perhaps with more genuine smiles than that of the newly arrived from Kusheth.

The drizzle has brought one glum-looking young dragon into the salon, a place he seems to be unfamiliar with. He just stands around near the entrance and looks around, taking it all in - the decorations, the girls and the clients. Not sure where to turn, he just stands and waits to see what might happen.

Belladonna catches the entrance of Drake and begins to walk over to him with that same smile as she says, "Hello my lord and welcome to the Rose Sauvage. Are you looking for someone in particular? Also care for some wine?" Upon the serving platter she carries are glasses of red wine as well as white.

Drake looks a little relieved when someone actually appears to greet him. "Wine would be a good thing.", he agrees and smiles faintly, "Do you serve Dragon's Blood in here?" He let's his eyes wander around the place for a bit, then looks at the girl again: "I've never been here before."

Belladonna offers a single nod as she says, "We do indeed. I could go and fetch you a glass of ask another novice to if you would like for me to keep you company and aid with finding you somewhere comfortable to sit down? I find that tends to be best if it is your first time here." Her hand gesturing towards some of the empty seating nearby.

"I… some other time perhaps.", Drake decides, "It was nice to meet you." And suddenly the young lord turns on his heels and departs the building as quickly as he had appeared.

Belladonna sighs softly and says, "Hope you do come back." Her eyes following him out before returning to seeing to the patrons, adepts and courtesan that they have refreshed glasses of wine.

Drake has left.
