Menekhet Suite

This beautifully appointed room of Ambassador Aziza Nimr spares no expense in luxury as it pays homage to the design and style of traditional boudoir. The large, black double doors are made from solid mahogany wood and are carved on both sides with a trellis of climbing vines and floral work. A small seating area consisting of a sumptuous couch, a high back chair and a small coffee table, is set before the fireplace which provides the room with heat and light during the evening hours. %r%rThe wood floors gleam from their high polish finish and are protected by strategically placed area rugs in bold and sensual colors, adding dimension and texture to the room. Between the two large windows that face the courtyard is a small writing desk that is perfect for all of those messengers one might receive at all hours of the night. Towards the back of the room, the focal point of the chambers, is an extravagant bed dressed in all the finery of silk and satin, sure to bring about sweet dreams. There are more pillows piled onto the bed than one person truly needs but that is what makes it look rich and expensive. Pillows for days.%r%rNot far away are two doors that lead to more for this visitor. The first door leads to a luxurious bath complete with a white claw foot tub so deep it seems one could swim in it. With black marble floors, it provides an escape from the cares of the world. Candles line the walls of this room to provide perhaps just light or to provide atmosphere. A large vanity is another focal point of this large bath providing an oval mirror and a large basin to perhaps wash hands and feet. That other door? More sleeping space but less luxurious than the man room. Featuring three full sized beds that are too draped in silks. It is obvious it is meant for perhaps group of retinue or guards but still gives the comforts for one that is of noble blood.

Standing near that window, her long dark brown hair cascades down her shoulders. Those kohl lined eyes look out, squinting as she pulls the loaned robe around her more tightly. A tall, bronze Mekekhet man stands near her as she seems to be deep in thought…though he breaks the silence by saying something in their native tongue. Slowly those brown eyes cut over towards him as she frowns ever so slightly….responding in kind. Her tone sounds irritable but he just places a hand on her shoulder and moves to that door that leads to the other room. He speaks harshly to the other men in that room before shutting that door. Aziza just chuckles as she looks back out that window, her thumb moving to her lips as she bites it.

Marion makes her way into the chambers with a curious gaze. The bronzed skinned woman with her dark hair and eyes is clearly beautiful but also not fully d'Angeline. That may have been one of the reasons the Coquelicot courtesan was selected for this task. She wears a simple and modest gown of sky blue silk, one that does not hinder her movements. That long dark hair is pinned up into a neat bun with golden pins but she has otherwise forgone jewels today. In her arms is a large basket filled with a variety of healing herbs, bandages, salves and even a selection of calming varieties of incense. Her movements as smooth and graceful as she attempts to make her way into the chambers.

Aziza slowly reaches into the sleeves of that flowing red silk robe but turns around sharply with a black steel curved dagger in hand, aiming it at that door as she hears that door. There's an audible gasp from the sun kissed skinned woman but she keeps her eyes and blade trained on the woman walking in. Quickly that other door opens but Aziza raises her hand to the men that were coming out. /It's fine….it…../ A beat as she looks her over slowly, taking in her wares that she carries with her. /…it looks like another one of their healers. You can relax…go back to resting and taking care of each other…./ The Menekhet in the front hesitates but shuts those doors quietly.

That robe had fallen open…but no glimmer of modesty seems to take over her features. Placing that dagger back in that sleeve she is silent before she finally speaks up in d'Angeline but slightly accented. "Are you another healer sent by the Duchesse?" Carefully she makes her way over towards that bed, finally pulling the robe shut once more as she sits carefully. "She is far to kind…."

*

Marion's eyes widen a bit but she stays calm as the dagger is drawn doing her best to look harmless. As the door shuts and the other woman speaks Marion manages a small kind smile. "I have been sent to help with your recovery yes. I'm not a traditional healer but rather one who is skilled in admistering herbal remedies and salves and helping paitents relax. My name is Marion no Coquelicot." She pauses a moment before switching languages. /We can speak in your native language if you wish, I do not mind. From what I know my father was also of your lands and it is nice to meet others who know the language./ She awaits a response as she slowly crosses the room to a place where she can sit her basket down. Her demeanor is one of relaxed calm and gentle care as she looks over to the other woman with that same kind smile. /Will you show me the wounds? I would like to make certain they are healing properly, I have some freshly prepared herbal salves I can apply to help soothe them as well depending on the state they are in./

*

Letting out a soft chuckle she raises a hand as she shakes her head. "No need. I could use the practice in this tongue…." Aziza smiles as she crosses her longs legs as her hand moves to her side instinctively. Licking her lips regards the woman now, not shy as she seemed to be taking in her features before finally continuing. /But…if you do not get to hear your father's tongue often….I can accommodate./ At the mention of her wounds the tall woman simply stands from the bed to move closer to her. /The healer from yesterday shut the wound with a thread./ Dropping that robe, there was no worry of her being nude but motions to the bandage on her side and began to remove it. /It definitely still hurts but….seems to not be infected. I had some of my own herbal blends on my person still to help but….of course most of my supply for my trip was lost in the attack./ Standing there she just waits for the young woman to do what she needs in way of the wound.

Stepping forward and not minding the other womans nudity Marion begins to carefully inspect the wound. After the inital inspection she fetches a small glass jar of one of the herbal remedies she brought and carefully applies it. The substance is cool as it goes on and meant to prevent infection and ease pain and irritation. /You are most kind. I never knew him, but I learned the language as a way to honor him anyway. Still it does not get much use. I can help replenish your supplies if you desire? I make my own remedies and while they may be different from your own I would not wish you to go without.// She smiles gently and fetches a clean bandage to carefully wrap the wound up. /That should make it feel a bit better. Its not infected and the salve I used should help prevent that and dull the pain a bit."

*

Closing her eyes she winces for a moment then relaxes then as she raises a hand to run her fingers through her hair. /Well I am sure he would appreciate it. And you are right….I doubt you would be much use here in these lands. It seems her grace was relieved to see I could speak in the native tongue here./ A soft chuckle leaves her lips as she looks over to that window as Aziza lets her replaces the bandage. /Thank you. I do need to continue to the City of Elua and then move on at some point so we will have to resupply here in your city. However her grace wishes to speak with me first before I send word to my cousin of our misfortune./ Once that wound is dressed she looks down slowly and carefully leans over to pick up that robe. /It already does feel better….thank you. You have my thanks for taking the time out of your day to do this. Hopefully my two men I sent back out to where we were attacked can retrieve at least….something of my clothing./

*

Marion steps back and bows respectfully once she is done. /You are most welcome. If there is anything I can do to aid you further please feel free to send for me. I will be happy to assist./ She smiles gently. /I will leave the remedies and extra bandages here in case you need them again. There is also incense deisgned to relax the mind and body and help one sleep. Is there anything else you require before I depart?/

*

There's a real smile as she watches the woman, bowing her head to her as she slowly moves to sit down on one of those seats. /I will remember that. And if you ever wish to speak in your father's tongue…..feel free to reach out to me. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon…" A slight smirk tugs at Aziza's lips for a moment but then she nods. /Thank you. I'm sure the incense will be most welcome. Maybe once I am better I will venture out to explore this city. I might need a guid so I do not get lost…./ A wink as she exhales softly. /Oh…../ A beat. /I'm rude…..I'm Aziza by the by….it was nice to meet you, Marion…../

*

Marion smiles brightly in return. /Thank you. It has been a pleasure meeting you Aziza, and I would be happy to guide you when you venture out if you wish. Until then, please rest and regain your strength. I am only a messenger away if you have further need of me./ With a smile Marion turns to go slipping out of the chambers with smooth graceful strides.
