Background

Merielle, the twin sister to Marielle, was born just three minutes before her sister. She was one of the three siblings from her noble household that joined the Night Court. Mostly, Meri was following in the footsteps of her twin. Whatever she did, Meri did too. And you know what? She had a point - even at 6 she didn't want to be forced into a 'random' marriage with some weird old guy. She would have rather had the glamorous life of a Courtesan, an object of desire. After all, if one is a piece of metal - would you rather be an iron chain or a lovely silver necklace?

When Courtesans came to visit her family and saw potential in the twins and their older sister and took them away, they were initially together but they presented vastly different aptitudes. The eldest left to join the Glycene and Marielle went to the Rose Sauvage. Merielle remained behind in the Coquelicot Salon.

After almost a year of deciding where would be the 'right fit' for her (it took some adjustment not having her siblings to guide her) she was initially placed within the Heliotrope for her wide-eyed idealistic stance on love. But then, around puberty she began to display the gifts of the Gentian Oneiromantics and was moved. Here, she excelled and blossomed into what she is today - a model Courtesan of Marsilikos.

After she finished her Marque, she stayed with the Coquelicot Salon - her sisters, while they stayed in contact, had blossomed into their own radiance but now she had her own goals: a long term patron, and perhaps to one day, lead the House.

Inspiration

Merielle is a strikingly prurient figure, a paragon of feminine beauty with a perfect hourglass figure and a graceful, delicate build. She seems young; perhaps in her early twenties if one had to hazard a guess, though there are no wrinkles, freckles, nor lines upon her face to betray a definite age. Surely, a woman who was taken early in life to fulfill the station of Courtesan. She seems ageless and fragile like a porcelain doll and though she seems young there is a definite sophistication about her that betrays a wisdom reaching past the experience of her apparent years. Every move is orchestrated with a certain serpentine grace; her head held high and her shoulders back, dripping confidence and poise from head to toe. When speaking, this air carries to her dulcet, honeyed voice - never too loud or hard, nor too soft but just moderate enough to be heard, provoking the most salacious of thoughts in the most even-tempered of men.

Her smooth pale skin has a butterscotch undertone to it, creamy to the touch and bears no scars, tattoos, or other defining characteristic save for her Marque. Her long and painstakingly cared-for chocolate hair is almost always left down and falls to her elbows in loose, bouncy waves, framing her exquisite face with side-swept asymmetrical bangs. This face in turn is characterized by two key features: Her large, limpid eyes (one of which being more green than brown and the other more brown than green) and sweet, soft lips. She wears only a hint of makeup, but only to punctuate these two features - her eyes accentuated by dark smoky hues of black and wreathed by dramatic eyelashes. Her lips, while sometimes painted scarlet, mostly bear only a hint of nude gloss.

Merielle's attire is never casual and she favors pristine, white floor length dresses fashioned from cleverly placed knit and lace, tailored to hug the curves of her feminine figure. They feature high, wide necklines that sit just below her collarbone and long sleeves and the backs are always open, proudly displaying her elegant back adorned with the Marque of the Coquelicot. The back of the dress dips so low, it reveals two symmetrical dimples seated at the base of her lower back, just above the swell of her rear. Everywhere else is covered save for the vaguely salacious hint of skin through lace and delicate knit.
