Background
Ligeia's childhood was an idyllic one; the heiress to a Barony whose whims were indulged - as obstinate as she was to responsibilities and her studies. She truly excelled at song and the lyre, the natural knack her convincing argument to be allowed to travel to distant cities on what she called 'studious excursions'. More oft' than not news would arrive home that while the silver tongue of the soprano had certainly won over the crowds, the same tongue had a tendency towards tenacity and would land her in trouble when she would snark or mouth off to the wrong person. Ligeia would be sent home until the next turn of lyrical phrase would convince her family to allow her to embark on another venture again a matter of weeks later.
Now the Bard finds herself staying within the city of her birth, tired of singing the songs of others. Her attentions now turn to her own renown and indulgences of lyrical phrase; to be a composer rather than the mere performer.
