Known Information

Clovis is a young nobleman of Kusheline stock, dark and handsome, and heir to one of the prominent horse-breeding families of Kusheth. He has proven to be a surprisingly good businessman, and would be a lot richer if not for his expensive tastes in both wine and lovers. Oftentimes he is surrounded by a large cadre of retainers and hanger-ons, who are minor nobles there for the hard partying lifestyle. Clovis seems loathe to settle down even as his hopeful parents plan for marriage. He alternates his time between his family’s estate in Pereuil and Marsilikos, and seems to be spending an increasing amount of time in Marsilikos because of the aforementioned reason.

Clovis was an only child, spoiled by his well-meaning mother but pushed harshly to excel by his authoritarian father. This resulted in his ambitious but arrogant personality. He started riding horses when he could walk, and was subsequently tutored in swordplay, politics, history, and other common subjects for the children of noble families. When he was old enough, he was sent to study at the university in Tiberium. Clovis remembers his school days fondly, where he and his band of lads terrorised the local town with their drunken escapades, partying and picking fights with snotty Caerdiccian scions. Clovis was, however, very intelligent and excelled in his studies. He was an impressive student and because of this, some of his more flagrant rule violations were overlooked by the faculty.

Clovis acquired a new-found maturity upon returning home, and was able to take over a large portion of his family’s estate. He made a lot of money off trading Kusheline prized steeds, and built up a mercenary cavalry to quell local unrest and defend territory. The young nobleman left for Marsilikos to trade horses and to obtain breeds from exotic lands (Ephesian, Akkadian, and so on).
